Ironman 70.3 Rapperswil

On 5 June, 2011- Over 2,000 athletes, representing 46 countries, lined up for the 2011 Ironman 70.3 Switzerland.

The Ironman 70.3 Rapperswil was a major event for Help-for-Hope. 27 athletes have raced for the project of a sports academy for children in Ethiopia. They all finished and their "sweat money" has made it possible to raise the funds needed to build a new school for children in Wolisso!!! A big thank you to all the athletes as well as to their spouses, families and friends who helped to make this dream come true !

The weekend

On Saturday 4 June, the team of athletes, family and friends gathered near Rapperswil in Boldern for an evening meal of pasta and an excellent team experience. It was a great oportunity to create cohesion, reinforce friendship and boost team spirit!

Sunday morning... The Big Day, our 13 individual athletes, 4 teams of 3 and 1 couple were in peak condition and fully motivated from the starting line to the end of the race which they all finished sucessfully!!! For some of them, it was their first Ironman. CONGRATULATIONS to EVERYONE !!!
